I’ve used a few pieces from American Barbell, and what I like most is that the design actually makes workouts feel smoother. The bar grip has enough texture to feel secure without digging into my hands, and the dumbbell handles are shaped in a way that stays comfortable even during longer sets. Everything feels balanced too, which makes it easier to focus on the lift instead of adjusting my grip all the time. I’m taking one star off because some of their stuff is definitely on the expensive side, but from a comfort and usability standpoint, I’ve been really happy with it.

The product itself is totally fine, no real complaints there. But trying to get a simple answer about my order felt weirdly difficult, like my message got sent into some secret underground inbox nobody checks. It took days for them to reply, and when they finally did, it was super short and didn’t really solve anything. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but customer service feels way harder to reach than it should be

Trying to place my order was kind of frustrating. The site froze on me twice, and by the time I finally got through it, I felt like I’d been sitting there forever. Maybe I was just extra impatient because I had coffee waiting and I hate when it gets cold, but still, the whole process took way longer than it should have

I ordered some gear from American Barbell, and I was a little confused because the website made it sound like I was getting something a bit more premium than what arrived. It’s not awful or anything, but for the price I expected better quality. The shipping cost on top of it made the whole thing feel even less worth it

I figured the box might show up a little beat up, but actually, no, it held up fine. The bar was packed well and nothing got scratched, so I was happy with it.

I really wanted to like this, and it looked fine at first, but after just a few workouts the finish started chipping. Not even heavy use, just normal gym stuff. It’s annoying because the feel was okay, but the coating definitely didn’t hold up for me.

I ended up getting different plates than the ones I actually ordered. Support did fix it in the end, but it really took way longer than it should have.

I kept checking for the items I needed, but they always seemed to be out of stock. It was frustrating, especially because I wasn’t sure if they’d be restocked soon or if I should just look somewhere else. A little reassurance or clearer update on availability would’ve helped.

Getting help took longer than I expected, and the whole return process was just annoying. It worked out eventually, but yeah, it felt like more hassle than it should’ve been.
